Cheers mate, I had my MR for 3 years and did so much with it. And actually regretted selling it in the end despite the issues it had. The colour too was proper nice.

Will have to take me up on that as and when I find 'the one'.

That was one of the reasons to go back, and this time round when I heard that the engine and box were virtually silent I was very pleased.

Update, will be going over to Russ' house this coming Monday to have some work done. Things are moving quickly.

Wasn't really after anything brace wise Eddy. But out of interest is it an OE one for the towers or a lower chassis brace?

It is a good quality upper front brace. Will check the make tomorrow.

Well I popped over to Russ' yesterday morning to have the sill chopped out and replaced properly rather than something half bodged.

One thing I was annoyed with was that I bought a 'sill' on eBay and the guy said that it was a patch sill, but it turns out that it was actually an oversill! But still, that didn't deter Russ from doing a bang up job of developing the plan oversill into a proper fitting piece.

Crazy amount of filler masking up an enormous kerb induced crunch.

They also managed to miss a huge rot patch...

Out with the old...

Some hours later after cleaning up underneath, dressing, welding and smoothing we finally have a new sill! Now covered with an industry standard underseal coat temporarily until I have all the bodywork done.

And now in daylight, you really couldn't tell it had another sill welded on.

Now I've sent off a paint work assessment sheet to our bodywork man and now just waiting back on a quote to tart the old girl up.
