Some inspection shots
With wheels and arch liners off it was easy to see areas with no protection and mud everywhere

The chassis was very clean in the sense of no corrosion, but it all needed to be scrubbed to get the loose dirt off, then cleaned with degreasers and then wire wheeled to get loose underseal off and to key the surface for the new protection

One of the key areas on Evo's is around the fuel filler. These always seem to trap muck and dirt, which then traps moisture, which then causes rust. You have been warned!!

Minor surface corrosion between the sill and the chassis rail

AYC pump housing looking a little crusty

The muck and dirt from the arches was dry brushed down and swept up, creating this little collection (this was about 3-4 lbs in weight)

An example of a cleaned arch

Masked up and ready for protection

Prop and exhaust masked up

Three coats later

After a full inspection the arch liners were refitted, wheels were refitted and torqued up to manufacturers recommendations and then, as a gesture of good will, I cleaned and sealed the windscreen FOC
