CLK two day turnaround

Post by Stuart »

One of my most comprehensive jobs to date, the CLK was an awesome thing to get stuck into and a real challenge :)

An exhaustive exterior pre-wash, wash and decontamination for the paintwork, glass, roof and engine followed by a multiple stage machine polish and expensive wax to protect the paint, reproofed the fabric roof and sealed the glass for good measure.

Alloys were sealed and protected as were the tyres, exhaust and exterior plastics and rubbers. The engine was dressed to protect the plastics from heat and discolouration.

The interior fabrics were dry cleaned first, then shampoo'd, the vacuumed again. The leather and ivory vinyl trim were gently cleaned to remove grease and dirt, then dried and conditioned to protect them. All wood veneers were cleaned, polished and protected.

All panel shuts were cleaned and protected with cotton buds and toothpicks being used on every nook and crannie to get dirt and grime out.

The owner of the car bought it blind as a surprise gift for his wife, so he needed it the CLK to be as good as possible prior to her receiving it. Safe to say that he caved in, gave her the present early and they were both delighted with the results

A mixture of fabric cleaners, all purpose cleaners and loads of microfibres, brushes and a wet-vac. Very, very easy to cock this up and end up getting too much moisture into the door so go careful if you attempt this 'at home'

Thanks Gents. The new owner was quite pleased :)

The camera is fine mate, the lighting in this unit is not the best (and that's being polite)

Thanks though :D

You're getting good at this valeting malarkey. ;) Seriously though, the attention to detail is unreal. You will be booked again by me in the future.
