Hmmmmmmmmmm

Stickers on cars @ the show? Probably less than half Pablo. How much of a difference does that make? Not sure.....there was a time when guys were happy to run some form stickers on their daily's and track cars. Now....I don't even have them on my works van (although I don't run Auto-Genie one's on there either).

Truth be told I think the issues with the lack of activity on here stem from a few years back. Our/my no nonsense approach to power figures being backed up, no text type and a firm stance with wannabes meant that we very quickly exiled potential new blood, put off new members and ostracised guys that could have become track day punters, event competitors and the like.

Maybe the 'business' model wasn't right
Maybe more people could have helped
Maybe our regional nature has restricted the growth of the club
Maybe things run their course
Maybe apathy kicks the shit out of most things and more fast paced social media ticks the boxes for those with less time and patience?

Pablo mate, without cars like yours, Logan's, Gary's and a few others BigPower could have disappeared in terms of profile a while ago. It's a shame that things are quieter on here, of course it is, but we've had some great years and huge laughs along the journey.

This forum is what we all make it. If we let it die then we only have ourselves to blame or thank, depending on your perspective ;)

We definitely need more active members on here, in fact besides getting my car sorted and getting myself back on track, my main focus for 2014 is to 'recruit' some like minded individuals and introduce them to this place
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

No one knows for sure but appathy will pat down the soil.

On that note I would like to put forward 1 change for the new year. Keep the site current so to speak.

The page banner.

Would it be possible / difficult to delete ALL cars curtrently on the banner rotation and re submit new pictures of current cars, events etc.

I still check this forum out just about everyday but must admit most of my time is spent on facebook. The Mustang has gone now but with a new car coming around xmas I will try and post more although I tend to read through the posts rather than posting myself.
For me Big Power was one of the first forums I was involved with and still try to support the club where I can
Big Power has to continue as the no Bullshit policy is what has kept me involved from the start

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Just an additional thought ... If I needed to know something or was looking for something I would post on the forum, but now it seems very easy to find that 'rare' part say on ebay or answer the question on google. So ignoring the trackday / economy stuff does the ability to gain information also reduce forum use?.

I'm not saying every question has been answered out there, but whenever I want to know something, I will find the answer or a combination of opposing answers across multiple forums.

I like the idea of updating the site and spreading the word to gain more members etc.

Maybe, as well the issue is in the name itsself? Ie people are put off as it states "BigPower" which then people think they don't fit into?

Discuss?
