A master class in car control Maxx but two things stick out for me. 1) Awareness of where other cars were and the threat they posed. 2) Planning where to overtake and maximise benefit. My only question is "How on earth did you resist the temptation to give one or two of them a BTCC nudge

it's why I love this race. Most races they put the fastest guy at the front and the slower guys in line behind, so when you are racing the guy in front is proven to be a bit quicker than you and the guy behind a bit slower. Of course that is still great fun but a different kind of challenge. In the Birkett you can be as quick over a lap but faster at different places so makes for some great racing and forces you to think where they are weak and where you might be best to pass.

I've never deliberately nudged another car, in BTCC you have very good drivers who can handle it, even if they spin out they rarely go off circuit badly. In this type of racing a little nudge could force a guy into a big mistake and at best he would need a dry-cleaners at worst, well, bad things have happened.

I 'really' loved that first lap where there were cars everywhere, shame you can't have a race like that ... maybe if they had the last half hour that ALL 350 cars had to race then that would be COOOOOOL
