Trev,
Is this road legal again yet or are you not bothering? Was just talking to Phil the other night about engine swaps and the DVLA and it got me wondering about Jaffa......

When I did the sierra I had to get a VAT registered garage to examine the car and then write a letter to DVLA on letter headed paper to get the log book changed. But...some insurance companies a year after were still quoting it as a 2.8 and even last year at the mot when the guy put the reg in it came back as a 2.8 and not a 2.0. It's one of the reasons I swithched insurance company this year.
Well done Trev

The car has not been right for quite some time
At gti international it would just cut out and would not fire until it cooled down, then it didn't matter wether it was hot or cold and eventually it just didn't fire atall and has not done for a few months
Anyway today was the day it breathes again, after a bit of research the culprit looked like a crank sensor so off to Gsf and hey presto it's now perfect
So pleased it was a simple fix and I still have some skin on my hands
The car is going to bluewater in kent this weekend to help promote the bhp show at lyyden hill next year.
