Well after the car developed a coolant hose problem and putting it off over xmas I finally did something about it. The coolant line that came with my turbo kit was a braided hose and a really really really really tight fit (it was really tight!) onto the engine block but the turbo connector end had failed. After cutting my hands and swearing lots and cutting my hands a bit more I decided the hose I bought (that was the same size as the one on there) wasn't going to work. A quick post on FDUK sorted me out and off to Pirtek to sort me out a nice 10mm silicon hose, this was a high temp / pressure hose (triple stitched also) which went on a treat. I forgot to take a pic though
Then tonight I set about fitting the Driftworks power steering cooler I bought last year. This wasn't too bad, hardest part was bending the clamps......dont point and laugh at my hammering it to bend action.....it has worked. Next year and in the next house I want a vice !
Decided to mount it behind the intercooler after finding it would block the vmount so should do the trick.
Pic...
Next steps are to remove a load of the old fuel that has been in the car since November and charge the battery and fire it up again. Then change the clocks (I said clocks!) for some I got from 'overnight parts from Japan' and fix the electric gauge flicking on and off (bad connection or earth somewhere).
Got an R33 Skyline pump to drop in at some point and get the car ready for mapping again. I am trying to arrange all this whilst organising a house move and planning a wedding and my fiancees 30th birthday plus another surprise I will reveal later (no not a baby !).
