This is a really pronounced whine though Alyn, at the scoobycity meet no other car sounded like mine. I'll record it tomorrow for interest. It didn't sound like this when i first got it.

Sounds for all the world like a bearing race Ben or the impeller rubbing but then my hearing is not so good

Still haven't whipped out the last one, it still works .. the replacement is still sat on my bedroom floor :), my brakes are still piled up in the front bedroom and the calipers are probably at Gary's.
