A slow day on the car today. Alan removed the seats to make it easier for me to hoover and shampoo them. Whilst vthey were out I also dusted in the inside of the car, still to be polished. Then we hosed it off, washed it, rinsed it and gave it a polish' The bonnet needed a bit more attention as did the silver cats on the car to get all the grime out. Another day of cleaning and i'll get some pics up. Just don't expect nothing special and deffinatley. nothing up to Stu's standard.

Bearing in mind the state of the paintwork when we first got the car we are happy with how she came out, especially as we did this without our bufty man Wayne:)
Once I got the cup of tea out of Alans hands and his dogs decided that i wasn't a food source we got started on the car.

This pic shows the back half of the cat after cleaning.

After a stupidly long day the gearboxes have been swapped. Alan and Wayne really can do almost everything we need doing to the car, but it really pains me watching them lying on their backs to change a gearbox.
Al. took the car up the road just to try the box and all felt good so in the morning he will be driving the car part of the way down just to help bed in the new box.
