I thought the Bosch 040 was the one with the starvation issues and not designed to be used in tank ? The 044 was ok for both internal or external isnt it ?
I guess it depends what flow you need, there is a calculator that should help..

Not against the Walbro btw. I guess it depends what sort of flow rate you need.

Well my plan is gonna be, get a different spring for the wastegate... something like a 0.8 BAR spring so I can least not worry about injector duty as the boost wont get high enough. I will also try and get the pump out, I honestly think a aftermarket pump has been put in as all the signs are there. I could see the screws had been already partially rounded and the clips had been moved. I will still check, but the thing that worries me is that the fueling issue is not due to having a stock pump.
I really hope I pull it out and its a stock pump as I can just bang in a uprated one, otherwise I will be having to trouble shoot what else could be causing it. I think I will replace the fuel filter as well to be sure.

Good shout Chris, worth a check anyway. It's easy to check as its hidden in the boot compartment. Am sure I saw a relay there the other day but worth checking its all setup correctly.
After all it should be all I need to do with mine
