I did notice one or two cameras pointing in its direction :D

shame I had running issues which I believe to be crank angle sensor
and a coolant pipe joiner melted and distorted so popped a hose and coolant half way up the 1/4 mile strip resulting in an impressive ploom of smoke as it hit the turbo

when it was running though it went pretty well

Looks great Trev! Did you manage to get any timed runs in?
We couldn`t make it to the inters as i had forgotten the little matter of my brother-in-laws wedding. Was it good?

was a good weekend russ but bloody hot
some really nice cars and some quick ones
as for timed runs it was a bit of a disaster
1st run was just wheel spin 1st 2nd and 3rd before traction hitting rev limiter
2nd run missed 3rd so aborted
3rd run it was wheel spin 1st and 2nd badly hit rev limiter in 3rd and did a 14.5 at 97mph
4th run was going well until hose let go
then it was game over

which was a shame as I planned to launch in 2nd as its so low geared 1st is pointless
drop front tyre pressures as they were 35 psi from rolling around in the unit and not hit rev limiter which is a big issue as I didn't get time to fit the tacho converter from the ecu so have no rev counter or shift light
confident it will easily do a 13 second run at least and over 100mph terminal
others doing 13 seconds were not even hitting the 100 mph
and I managed a 97mph with issues
once its rolling and got traction it goes like a stabbed rat

then there is the weather conditions to take into account it was over 30 degrees and a lot of cars were struggling with there usual times

I think that's enough excuses for now :D

Jaffa's looking great Trev, you must be happy to actually be out and using again, despite a few teething probs. When are thinking about a TD?

im going to book an evening td when I get back from holiday rather than a full day and have problems and going away with my tail between my legs
a nice evening shakedown will be a good start.

im toying with getting it back to road legal and getting an mot on it so I can give it a little blast from time to time
depressing seeing it tucked in the corner of the unit all the time unused
so need another set of rims and tyres as my current 888's are getting a bit low

will certainly be interesting having this on the road :)

You so should get it back on the road. I still love watching peoples expressions when we go bouncing pass them on the road. Even the police have a good look at it and usually with a smile on their faces.

get it on the road! Best bit about owning a car like that, every one had one and loves them.
