Small update, everything is going to plan. The new turbo kit will be going on in the next couple of weeks then after that the new engine loom will be going on along with the remap...

Here are a few pics...

EGT sensor and gauge

T04E turbo which has been rebuilt fairly recently

HKS divided manifold which is brand new

Also have a HKS waste gate to go on which I am replacing the mounting bolts on. Once all this is on I will have my wideband and EGT all rigged up then it will be ready for mapping...

Cheers Stu, yeah I plan to have it done by him, I havent spoken to him yet but thats the plan. Depending on when I get the car finished there is talk of seeing if we can get him up to Norwich to look over several Rx7's in one hit but that depends when a certain other person finishes his build *cough* *cough* If that doesn't happen I will prob take the car to powergains and get them to fit the new engine loom (I think its something I could manage but if I get it wrong...) and map the car. I have come this far I might as well get the best mapper in the country to do it! Really looking forward to the engine loom turning up as its a military spec so it should be higher quality than a new OEM loom, the current one on the car is like its made out of spaghetti! I hate going near it.

Just cleaned up after todays effort on the car, now just waiting to get the turbo back (Reusing an old EGT sensor hole in the exhuast housing for my new one) and for some bolts to arrive then I can start putting everything back together!

Consensus on FDUK seemed to be not to wrap the manifold.
