I'm not angry, just dissapointed :(

All you Scooby fanboys need to stop bolting new bits on them and polishing your exhausts and come use them.

I will let that slide as less than a week ago mine was still poorly........ Besides my shinny new exhaust still hasn`t arrived yet!;):D

Anyhow, How did you guys get on?
What did you think to hethel Gary?
Have they kept the wonderful sweeping curves over the far side of the track?

I am sure that Logan, Gary or Jason will be on to give their own thoughts, comments and updates on the day but here are a few from me :)
- It was great to be back at Lotus HQ and the new layout looked much better than the old one; faster, longer at 3.5km and with lower entry numbers compared to the last time I was there (60 vs 100) the whole day felt so relaxed and easy going........but maybe that was due to me just being there rather than competing.

I managed to get along to Gary on Tuesday to tidy up the Evo after Snetterton's four seasons in one day and after a couple of hours it was looking very presentable again. Logan's was apparently in a similar condition but as I couldn't get to him before the weekend (I was on holiday and he was hundreds of miles away) so Logan cleaned the sprint Evo ready for action on Sunday.

I left my beach retreat at just before 8am and drove the 35 miles to the track at Hethel. The weather was amazing and promised a dry, warm day for the competitors.........at least that made tyre selection easier even if it introduced other issues to contend with. There were several familiar faces there from my days of sprinting including Dick Grimes, Gino with his rather mental Dax Cosworth, Jason S13 with his DC2 and the staff of Borough 19 too. Nice to catch up and say 'hello', that's for sure.

The APT lorry was visible from 400 yards away and Danny was working away whilst Debbie was getting a suntan, with Gary and Logan getting their point of view across to a couple of scrutineers! :) With the lads both in Sports Libre (no limits class basically) they would be up against the very fastest of the cars and drivers, but even so the presence APT had in the paddock was impressive; two cars that looked they had been beamed out of the Tsukuba Super Lap Battle right there in the make shift paddock of Hethel!!

Practice laps consisted of discussion between Logan, Gary and Danny taking launch control settings, tyre pressures and damper settings into consideration as they try to eek out half a second here, tenths of a second there. Having two broadly similar cars side by side and the shared knowledge really seemed to help make the biggest possible dent in lap times in the shortest possible amount of time.....ideal for sprinting and it makes sense why APT is so popular with the sprint lads.

Like I say, I'll leave the drivers to come on here and elaborate on how their own day's went but suffice to say that Logan and Gary were very competitive with one another, they were usually grinning from ear to ear throughout, Danny was a star all day, compliantly following the decisions of the driver's and making sure that they got what they needed as soon as possible, leaving them to concentrate on going as fast as possible.

Both cars required some cosmetic TLC at lunch time but that was why I was there, from a support point of view, and the positive comments the cars continue to receive confirm that as being the correct thing.....APT runs a tight ship so cars carrying their logo and backing need to look a certain way too.

The sound of Evo's with 600-700bhp popping and banging their way around a circuit like Hethel was a treat. Flames aplenty too and we all commented that it was just such a shame that filming was totally restricted on such a lovely day.

Oh well :)

Well done lads  Look forward to reading your thoughts :cheers2:
