had a trip to Norfolk yesterday to pick up some bits like forge fmic / conversion mount / rad conversion hoses etc..
set about on the engine today, stripped of unnecessary parts like aircon pump / power steering pump / mount and gave it some foam degreaser
took the rocker cover off and spruced that up a bit

another day off tomorrow and need to pick up a new waterpump first thing then fit cambelt / 16v tensioner and mount ready for fitting
oh and new shiny qpeng downpipe is waiting for my collection at the post office :)

I don't have anything that will clear brembo's mike

Finally the workshop is a bit cleared up and the golf is off the trailer
Where it has sat for almost a year
Engine is all belted up and ready to roll with a new tubby bolted on
So tomorrow afternoon after work will see the the old engine out and maybe the new one slotted in
Everything I need has now turned up
