Great wheels Pete, and rapidly becoming a bit of a headache for Monster :D

If you can't change your project title let me know and I will try to help  Pablo was 100% right with his advice on how to alter it.

[quote="pablo"]Nice work as ever Pete. I'm not sure on those BBS alloys would need to see a full picture of the car.

Here is the full picture (look away now Christian)showing the BBS's and i think the gold on red looks pretty good .

Found another picture of one with what looks like a matt black or dark grey finish which has more of a cool looking retro theme .Pete

I love Big Red  the noise of that flat out is something to behold (Youtube it for anyone that's unsure) I think the BBS look great on there Pete.

But then again it's a Camaro. You could put it on 14" Steelies and I'd love it.

Monster wrote:Great work on the brakes Pete, so looking forward to seeing the camero out this season. It should be a much different beast, what with a manwell 'box and new brakes etc.

However, I refuse to comment on the last pic (fingers in ears (or over eyes)) :smash:
Iam looking forward to seeing done as well but i think its going to be another couple of months , it does give me a good excuse to have a week off so i can spend time in the garage .
Out of interest why are you trying to avoid looking at those alloys of who's name i must not speak . Pete

Monster has a rather large soft spot for the BBS LM alloys and I bait him on this at every possible opportunity. He will cave in and buythem; he knows this as much as I know this, but he tries to pretend otherwise

One of the little jobs i have been meaning to do is to improve the agricultural clutch linkage , it uses levers and bars instead of cable or a hydraulic arrangement . The main linkage from the clutch pedal is just a piece of rod thats clipped to the pedal , there's no bushes or bearings just metal on metal . With a large clutch it needs a big boot to work , so to make it a bit easier i needed to make another link . I found some LH/RH 8mm rods ends at work and fitted them to a piece of tube that i welded threads to , the thread also allow for some pedal adjustment . Previously to adjust the pedal height i needed to get under a rather low car and at arms lenght adjust a linkage , now i can do it from under the bonnet:thumbs:. Another thing is that rod ends look pretty good underbonnet and i try to use some when i can . Pete

I have put the rear brakes on hold as the half shafts look a bit more worn than i had expected , so i can't finish putting the rear end back together . I need to order the half shafts from the states and iam waiting to make sure there's no other parts i need , i usually manage to forget something .
I have moved on to the front brakes and here is a picture to show how to remove a Camaro front disc from its hub , yes with a grinder

I have also had a go at cleaning up the calipers with some wire brushing and Autosol polish . I generally just fit parts without paying much attention to how they look , so i thought its about time i should pay a bit more attention to the detailing side of things . Cleaning parts goes against my nature but i really should do it a bit more as parts look so much better and also is just a good habit to get into . Pete
