Is there a list of runners?
Yup, sat on the grid waiting for the lights to change felt just like 10 years ago, only that time it was a TZR250 or a 600 thundercat that I was sat on. The first lap was the most fun I've ever had on a trackTk wrote:good stuff andy for your first race![]()

Yes, Steve Reynolds and John Ridgeon? One of only 2 cars in class E, coming 25th out of 30 starters overall. I didn't see them in the paddock though. Next round should be a more relaxed, with opportunity to get around and meet more of the teams.IWANT1 wrote:Sounds like a steady start good effort, not sure its ever going to be dry this year, did you spot a fiesta out there Doube R Racing?
Not a bad price for a fully supported drive I guess... Thanks for the info food for thought!Andy916 wrote:Here's a list of the teams http://www.trackdaytrophy.co.uk/teams-2013.aspx
The deal we have for this year is close to 3k each for the pair of us to do all 7 rounds in the Mini, including all prep, maintenance, transport, fuel and wet and dry tyres. Plus crash damage, although the guys are very reasonable/economical in their approach to repairs. Series entry is 40 quid plus 175 per round (each, for a shared drive). Getting the license costs 380 including ARDS test. Helmet, overalls, gloves and boots have to be BS8856-2000. It all adds up, but isn't that different from the bike racing I used to do. Compared to other club-level classes the tracktime is generous - 45mins race. 30mins quali and, if they can schedule it, 30mins practice.
Listing it out like that makes me more than a little interested in your grasstrack racing, Lee!
Say hi if you see them in the pits for me, top lads from sprinting.Andy916 wrote:Yes, Steve Reynolds and John Ridgeon? One of only 2 cars in class E, coming 25th out of 30 starters overall.
