Yeah that's a mega transformation Dan on the Mini.

I'm bad with old pics too, but am inspired to try and scan some of other stuff now so I have a digital record. Found a couple of my M3 on my external drive but all the good ones werent' showing and the laptop wouldn't open them......?

While we are reminiscing remenising remonising (looking back fondly) heres a terrible pic from my 2.8i Capri which I rebuilt with a friend in 1992. Had a Group N spec balanced and lightened engine, revved to about 7k, had cams and tubular manifolds leading through to cherry bombs. Had converted Sierra Coswroth front legs and brakes, and Spax adjustables. I fitted a triangulation kit, and uprated rear leafs. Those were the days......
Image

After this I went FWD and picked up a cheap V6 Cesaro Cavalier. Other than a HUGE intake, it was standard. I sold it after a while having got bored of torque steering towards every hedge and verge in Essex. The guy who took it off me realised it was quite nippy so used it as a getaway car the week later :) (Guess he did nt realise what I did for a living LOL)

Then comes my beloved Sierra XR4x4. Low mileage, 2.9 which I eventually fitted full leather, an electric sun roof, Dave J from here helped with Cosworth 4x4 suspension, some loud bastard exhaust system, a Superchip, and I loved it dearly till some bastard who I had dealings with at work said he'd hunt me down and burn the house. Simple decision, so the car got sold out of the area. (I lost a small fortune but shit happens)

After this came my trusty old BMW 525i. Again it got new wheels, leather, computer and was treated to some TLC. I ended up scrapping it after a year finding terminal rust running under the back seat running from one side of the car to the other (eeeek)
Image

Then came to most dedicated little track toy I had. The little E30 that me and Nigel prepared from a one owner, low mileage old girls car to a 'Ring ready toy in about 6 weeks. Loved it, till the bloody bank managed decided I sold it or owed him a kidney!

I dabbled with this too, customary as it is for me and Stu to swap cars.....

Then Nik had it before his brother "enjoyed" it :)

My favourite car I never owned, the glorious Betty
