Twin turbo Soarer- A basic valet

Post by Stuart »

Many of you guys will recognise the car but as it was being sold, John wanted me to give it a quick once over for the new owner so with that in mind a date was booked and a schedule for work was agreed.

Anyone that knows John knows that he keeps his car pretty damned mint so the job was simply to remove the winter crud and put some hybrid polish/sealant on the paintwork to demonstrate the true condition.
With aftermarket wheels and K-sport brakes these should really be one of the car's selling points
Image
Same can be said for the custom Powerflow exhaust system
Image
So the usual wash routine was used (pre-washed, rinsed, shampoo, rinse and dried) and the car was polished with a hybrid polish/sealant product called Autosmart Platinum
Image
Wheels, tyres and exhaust system were also cleaned and treated to offer bling and protection

Nice reflection shots which show the paint condition

Job done  Only a quick one by my standards but the new owner was chuffed and the old owner was suitably pleased. I thought it was an epic gesture on John's behalf paying for a valet for the new owner and having both guys there to watch me work was kind of cool, as they both got to see the transformation :cheers2: Not bad for just over two hours

Thanks to John for the opportunity of working on the car before the new owner drove off into the fog!

You're more than welcome  The pride you took in the car made it much easier for me to get the results. Can't wait for you to unveil your new toy.....sure it will be something special.

Good work as always Stu, bet the owner was pleased. That was a nice motor.

Just a shame it wasnt sunny to show the motor off properly.

Cheers Gareth :cheers2: Yeah, Josh seemed chuffed but then I think that was as much to do with being the new owner of a twin turbo monster at his tender age as it was to do with any valeting skills on my part :) As usual my photos didn't capture the quality or depth of the reflections.

Fortunately I have a pro taking some shots for me tomorrow so we can see a little bit more detail of what I do and how I do it then.
