Now getting to the end of this build ready for the sprint season to start, my latest purchases arrived from alyn which where a baffled sump, whiteline roll centre kit and and one of his trick up pipes my aim for this car is to handle the best it can and have good responce and good brakes and also protect the engine the best i can.
also picked a lighter battery

So to start with pulled the engine out and a nice surprise was a nice new ap racing clutch

The flywheel has been dropped off to be lightened so then got the engine onto the engine stand and then fitted the new sump.
removed the manifold and the heat shields then de lugged the manifold and then heat wrapped it. also fitted the first part of the oil cooler.

Then set about removing all the breather system that feeds all the nasty oil vapour and fuel vapour that returns back into the engine.
Replaced all the pipes with two seperate pipes one from the block and then one from the heads which will run to a catch tank and then vent to atmosphere

So got a chance to give the engine bay a clean ready for refit

once the flywheels back next week hopefully can get it back in one night.

Thanks guys its been a while since Ive taken an engine out of one of these but it soon comes back to you it is one of the easiest cars to take the engine out off as long as the turbo down pipe comes undone ok.
And Trev carn't wait to get out there just hopeing to get it out for the 17th will probably be a late entry.
