well its been a while since an update been busy on the car got to removing more unnecesary weight from under the dash with the rest of the air con unit nice easy job as the section comes out so stripped it down removed all the rad etc blocked up the holes and slotted it back in.

then removed all the metal from the floor which the ecu sat on and then relocated it to the glove box
Image
Next i put all the interior back in and put the boost gauge in the air vent with the carbon panel same as trevs removed all the stereo system including all the speakers and covered with a panel got a quaife gear knob and fitted the new steering wheel Image
fitted a warlbro fuel pump and fuel pressure reg
Image
And the best part found a set of original subaru mirrors still boxed.

And then finally today bought the golf back from its lock up and gave it a quick clean and get it ready for some trackday action.

Thats it for now

Mike, just a quick one mate. I've stripped the tar out of a few cars already but probably not as many as you  Do you use anything particular technique or is it the usual hammer, chisel, petrol/thinners for the residue?

I've got another one to do next week and your advice may help me do a better job.

Great work buddy. The Golf looks very tidy and certainly a wonderful partner in crime to your 555.

Stu I use a flat head screw driver and hammer, chisel seems to dig in the metal to much.
The cold helps and i also use plumbers pipe freeze spray and use window solvent cleaner. As I have lots of it to hand

All the best mike
