Right, an update.......I have a new snail !!!!!
After having what can only be described as the biggest ballache in the world getting the twins off I didnt relish the thought of putting them back on. It just so happened that a certain member on another site was selling the turbo kit of my dreams....Power from low rev ranges whilst still making good power up top and also room to grow once the engine fails and can be street ported
A picture says 1000 words.....

GT35/40 turbo, manifold, Turbosmart wastegate and downpipe (in next pic)

Our very own auto genie worked his magic on part of the downpipe to show me how it could be made to shine with relatively little effort (checkout the shiny bit in the pic above and in the one below)

Clean on the left, corroded etc on the left.
So that'll be my project now in the evenings getting that up to a good standard, thanks Stu...tsk I was just gonna bolt it on.
I couldnt resist bolting it into the enginebay to see how it fitted and can only say 'shieet its massive' !!!

With the HKS mushroom that I might fit or go for an Apexi / K&N style

Looking good Gareth......although I think I would be inclined to heat wrap that pipe myself.....I know when I had my RX when giving it the beans there was so much heat even in the footwell of the car...so Mine got wrapped and it saved my feet from cooking......Just a though it would be easy to do whilst it's off....
Just my opinion !
Just my opinion !
Gotta say mate I am slightly jealous due to all this issues I am having with the setup on my car and I know you wont have the same problems!!!
What size oil feed and drain you got there?
+1 for heat wrapping the exhaust, it will also help with spool times as well. While you're at it I would wrap the mani as well
I would swap out the HKS filter for a Apexi one as the HKS are suppose to provide no filtration at all.
Just my 2p tho mate
