As Gary says- it's a little further on than the pics suggest (I just haven't got round to taking a few more). ;)

Most of the interior trims have been sat in boxes for nearly 2 years, so it took some head scratching to refit everything in the right order, with the rear panels going in and out a few times as I found something else that went behind them.

So, the interior is fully in, door panels on and wiring issues with the alarm and central locking fixed, and it's passed an MOT. :D

We updated the VEMs ECU to the latest Firmware but found it corrupted some of the data due to changes they'd made which meant the Ford's been waiting for Gary to have some free time to check things over- which he did today while I was lounging at home on my day off! :cheers2:

I can honestly say there's no plans at this moment in time, Pablo. Maybe a BigPower event or two, but it depends on dates- we've got at least one event each month from March onwards, and even more customers to support this year.

On top of that, a possible house move is on the cards (Christian's old engine has already sold to fund this), so I've got to see where it sits in my list of priorities. It'll be hard to let it go, that's for certain.

I'll update the thread tomorrow with pics/dyno graphs from when Gary had to remap the ECU. ;)

Bit of a late update, but better late than never! :)

Gary had to re-do some of the mapping after an update to the Vems ECU screwed up a few things, and with a bit more time to play with it and gently push the boundaries, he nudged it a little higher (while at the same time improving the fuelling and smoothing the boost curve).

Old= Blue, New= Red

Looks a bit laggier than it actually is because it was run in 3rd this time rather than 4th (4th gives a more realistic boost plot, but knocks off more power at the top as the car falls back into the rollers sooner). More power is in there, but the weak point is the gearbox- on the road, it would simply break traction and spin the torque away, but on the dyno it continues to grip, and Gary's known Christian's to strip 3rd gear/break input shafts many a time.

Finally, a few pics after Stuart had worked his magic (and how it still looks in the garage now! lol)-
