Ok, I'm ready for a flaming - was he really that good? ... crashing out and ruining his chances most of the time. "if in doubt flat out" .. bang whallop no more car...

I love the way you can laugh when you've trashed someone else's rather expensive car i.e the gold new age etc.

He was loved because of his crazy driving
I used to go to the Wrc most years in Wales and Colin would always he higher in any jump or more sideways than anyone else
Was such a buzz watching him and the buzz in the crowds was immense
He either won the event or crashed/mechanical failure
He did have a fair few event wins

A true character rather than a calculating machine. Had moments he could nt be equalled, but with such slim margins for error, when it went wrong, it really went wrong. God rest Colin.
