Oh and the wheels are definitely staying! .. they look much much better in the metal than they do in pics.

Edited highlights from an eventful morning :)
An easy and amusing 2 hour run from Norwich to foggy, snow bound Bedford. The dealership had some lovely stock including a rather gorgeous Lichfield type 25 in red and many other decent quality Imprezas, including our Ben's.

It was way cleaner than the pile of shit that we saw in Watford but then I guess you get what you pay for. The spec on this seemed to be pretty stock but the FMIC and brake upgrades won't do any harm. The wheels are stunning in the flesh and make one hell of a difference. The bodywork is tidy with just a few noted issues but the impact that the car makes overall is sizeable. All of that before you fire the car up!!

The noise is well documented of course. It's a little alien to me though, after a long period in normal cars the rude borderline offensive note of the Impreza's system was so, so different to anything else that we saw on the roads. Ben's face at the petrol station was a real picture. A mix of amusement and shock!

Glad to have helped and glad to see that initial impressions are so favourable  Welcome back to BigPower mate :cheers2:

Jon, never say never .. you know that issues always occur 10 minutes after the warranty expires.

Ben, from painful experience of doing stuff the wrong way i.e...
Not initially fitting a baffled sump, decent knock analyser and catch can, there's no reason it'll go tits up. At least with the above you'll limit the chance.
PS
I'm lovin the wheels, real nice + worth a bit.
