Thanks for the links guys I will have a look.
Chris, it does still sound quite loud when outside the car but when driving it feels just like my golf did so there is a nice hum but nothing too major. Problem is I was driving home right in the middle of the snow storm yesterday so my mind was on keeping the car on the road and I really couldnt hit boost as you can imagine!
Once the snow sods off I will take it out for a blat and go from there, next on my list is the suspension geometry which I will prob go to autotest for.

Moved the car the other day, the car is ALOT quieter. Seemed to be alot more obvious on my drive when I moved the car (Mainly as I didnt get the neighbors whining).
Anyway next on the list is ducting the IC and Rad and cleaning the engine bay as its filthy and it looks like the inside of a stable... However as with all jobs when I took of the IC and had a look around its opened a can of worms. Mainly there is alot of surface rust which is bugging me. I have got some hammerite left over which you can apply directly to rust, I take it its just a case of cleaning the surface (was going to use a general purpose cleaner like 'flash', anyone got any recommendations), dry it then paint over with hammerite?
Here are some pics of the car with the IC removed, I will update this thread as I progress with the cleaning and the ducting. Never done engine bay cleaning or ducting so any words of wisdom anyone has I would love to hear them!

An all purpose cleaner is fine mate but please make sure you spray some water on these and the surrounding areas to neutralise any chemicals. Once this is clean I would use a wire brush on a drill and then wipe all of the loose rust or paint away with whatever you have that won't leave much everywhere and then paint on your Hammerite. If you follow those steps, you can't really go too far wrong.
As far as cleaning your engine bay is concerned you can use the same all purpose cleaner above but diluted down by about 50% on the rubbers and plastics and once again, wipe off any excess spraying it with water. Your best bet is to buy a load of cheap microfibres and get stuck in.
Whereabouts are you in Norwich? If I get the time, I don't mind popping over to supervise or help mate.

Flash won't do any harm to your paint (as such) put it may dry out your rubbers and vinyls in the engine bay so that's something to watch for. PM replied to mate.

Get some bags or gloves over the pipe to the turbo mate, you dont want anything untoward going up there. If a nut or bolt is going to ping off it only goes 1 way which is the most inconvenient place !!
Yeah be interested to know about the undertray as most people with v-mounts dont fit them.
