Mileage?? The 100,000 hump!

We don't spend all our time in the car.... honest

Also I've found that buying a car around 50000 means you'll soon be in for cambelts and clutches etc - also long as a car has been maintained as per the service intervals you'll be good :) - I treat suspension, brakes, exhausts etc as consumeables anyway :)

That said, I wouldn't dream of spending 20k on car with 100k on the clock even if it did cost 60k 3 years earlier!.

I'll personally toss the coin on the repairs of the 20k motor rather than the 40k depreciation :lurk5:

Ummm well that didn't help much!

Maybe there is a bigger market for high mile cheaper cars than a low mile one

I think at the end of the day you have to buy what feels right for you mate.
Any car can be a gamble as you know, Don`t go high mileage if you don`t feel happy about it. If i had the money i would buy a brand new one, I just couldn`t afford one.
