Car cleaning gear (Group buys)

What sort of stuff would you guys be interested in?

I'm happy to talk to my suppliers about getting hold of some deals on any of the following

-Shampoo
-All purpose cleaners
-Polish
-Wax
-Sealants
-Washmitts, Microfibres or Applicators
-Starter packs
-Snow foam
-Specialist cleaning products like Clay kits, wheel cleaner or metal polish

Not worried if there's no significant interest at this stage but there will be the facility to offer this for club members

I could do with some more drying towels

I've got a Mequires waffle towel, but it's fecking useless now. Could do with a couple for cleaning the cars and 2 more to go in the cars to wipe the condensation off

Plus wheel cleaner and tar remover

My dad and bro were talking about getting some snow foam as well

Thanks for the feedback. I have some ideas about the Megiuar's towels mate, but I'll talk to you about that when I see you and the S15 next

So
4 x towels
1 x wheel cleaner
1 x tar remover
2 x snow foam
I presume you'll need a way of applying this too mate, so something like a Gilmour spray kit or the bottle adaptors that you'd use with a pressure washer?

I'll get some prices sometime this week mate; that OK?

i could do with something that i can spay on my machines like snow foam and when rinsed off they look like they have been clay barred and waxed or am i being unrealistic

snow foam please and advice on what else maybe of use to me .

That may be a bit of a stretch Jason but anything is possible

One of the things you need to be careful of is the stickers and plastic trim on the machinery you're trying to clean. The more aggressive cleaners are great on paint but not so kind to vinyl and plastic trim.

If you go for something citrus based or a non-caustic cleaner mixed at the right dilutions, you can spray this on and leave it for a few minutes (this time of year up to ten minutes if the dilutions are 1:20 with the stuff that I use) and then rinse off. This will get rid of about 85-90% of dirt on the lower sections.

Maybe PM me (or any other means of talking to me) to take it further mate. Really not sure that Snowfoam is the best thing for farm machinery if I'm honest (or anything applied with a great deal of pressure)

Right Chaps, and update for you

I have spoken to my usual rep at length and I don't think that he's going to be able to help me/us. With that in mind I have another supplier to try next week as they stock more of a retail range of products with brands like Sonax, Meguairs etc so good quality but without being mental prices.

I'm sorry this is taking longer than I hoped but I think that the wait will be worth it.

Now we've got the forum back, I'm pleased to say that I have made some real progress with the products for group buys. I've been testing some new stuff over the last fortnight and will be listing a huge range of things for sale in the next couple of days. Prices are very competitive, quality is right up there with my trade stuff and it's British made too

The group buys will start once I get a bit of feedback from people on costs and quantity. The prices that I'll list will be RRP and then the discounted price that will be achieved if we hit the group buy target (the prices are pretty cheap anyway and you won't be paying postage- more on that later)
