Swap it for some cake and biscuits???

It's not much use without the Drenth box to go with it, unless there's something you're not telling us/Lindsay. :D

As promised, a photo of the Drenth selection barrel-

At it's base is the rachet mechanism that rotates the barrel in segments to get the five forward gears, along with neutral and reverse-

Along with the nerdy joy that having carbon flappy paddles gives, the Geartronics system also allows a fully automated shift- changing up at a pre-defined point, as well as giving the the driver the option of 'queuing' a number of downshifts to be performed as soon as possible without causing an over-rev situation. The (old) video below explains it better-

Love the idea of queuing the gears  Thought that this was a six speed though......or was I thinking of the Maktrack one?

Drenth only do a 5-speed 'box for the Evo, and yes, it's Maktrak who do a 6-speed version.

As per facebook mate, the acceleration on the Combe video was just ridiculous! Almost like you can't get through the gears fast enough  Bit of luck that the brakes and grip are so efficient otherwise that would be a recipe for disaster!

TOTB course designers need to accept that opening the handling track up will improve the contest for everyone involved, including spectators.
