Welcome mate enjoy the banter......I would love to hear about your Dad's build on the MX5 287bhp sounds awesome......I currently have a MX5 turbo with just over 200bhp so I would be very interested in hearing more about that.......just to see if it inspires me to keep my 5 or sell it...

287 in one of those must be a bit of a laugh! What sort of power to weight ratio does your car have? Quite a few of us have had type R's (Civics, DC2 and 5's) and it would be interesting to compare.

If you've got a build thread on Ek9.org, link it to here or copy and paste it if you prefer (under build threads  )
The best comparison I got was the 60-100 time, measured on my vbox. for example an Evo IV pulls in 6.7 sec I've managed 6.4.
But the ignition tuning is not done yet, so 90% done. :)

I love Civic Type Rs !!! Especially the old ones where Honda were more concerned with the term 'pure' than the last couple of 'built for comfort' Type Rs.
