As porks go perhaps I should reveal my hand in terms of whats tempting me...

Ironically one of the 930 turbos I looked at was equipped with Martini stripes as a factory option, although isn't wearing them any more.

are less money and arguably more special.

or Maranello's finest 12 cylinders...

but there is something inexplicable that keeps making me search for these, and amongst this company I can't quite understand it ....

The SL represents the least sleepless nights and the 575 the most I guess, but the 575 is simply one of the most desirable cars on the planet IMHO. That 993 is bloody tidy, if that is the actual one you're thinking of and at least it's air-cooled so you get 'that' noise. A lovely challenge to face mate..........

Have been a bit quiet on this recently as I plough money into stuff I'm not interested in, like new windows in the house etc, but have still very much kept my eye on the market. I keep coming back to 993 turbos which is weird as I've never been a porsche man but have always loved a 993tt. The other problem is that all the standard cars I've driven struck me as shit slow, even with the factory upgrade. Which keeps leading me back to the modified car with over 500bhp... The interesting thing is, or rather scary, that ALL the cars that were for sale when i first started looking still are, it would appear that once you have one of these things, you're in it for life, presumably longer if it's tuned to over 500bhp..... aggghhhh

The bonus is if a car has been for sale for months it's silly offer time
But as you first said in the thread about being an investment etc.. Alarm bells would be ringing.
I thought about buying a lancia integrale recently but is it worth buying a car that lives in a bubble and to scared to used it

Christian, you're torturing yourself mate. To get decent residuals it would need to be mint and stock. If you're buying it for speed buy something else (and didn't you previously say that you don't need a fast sports car as you already have the GTR?)

Yeah thats what my sensible head says, it's only an investment if you can get out of it. And agree with the bubble stuff too, cars are fro driving right.

Haha, yep I did say all that, but it keeps slipping my mind. I need to chill out, I'm sure half of it is a "boredom" purchase cos there's zero car excitment going on at the moment
