Just been researching 1a tyres and wanted to check on reviews/experience etc
I checked my stash in the garage and found a brand new full set of Goodyear Eagle F1's (17" 235 & 255) and a barely used pair of Federals 595's (17" 245's)
do any of you guys have experience using either of these on track as wets?

[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

Out of those have only used the goodyear F1's and found them to be very good in the wet. However, given the option I would go for Uniroyal Rainsport everytime without question.
We (Alan) used these at RS National day at Rockingham a few years back and in the first 2 sessions Alan was only passed twice. Turn 1 on the banking Alan was still able to take it at 95-100mph in the wet.
What Alan really likes about the Rainsports is that they gave a lot of feedback especially about the track conditions. As the track started to dry out the tyres started to go off slowly and he was able to feel the grip levels dropping and so knew it was time to switch tyres.

Cheers mate, it's only because I have them already that I was considering using them
Is it only the 1b tyre manufacturer that has to remain the same throughout?

cheers , i take it that fitting 4pots and coilovers is classed as an "upgrade " rather than a modification to remain classed as a standard car ,also notice it is required to be insured to comply with road going .
