Best handgun for home protection ?

Post by pjs65 »

I go on the American muscle car forums now again and some topics get posted that you would never see over here . What with the recent mass shooting in the states i was surprised to find this thread near one for the shooting . Pete

and I quote " I want immeadiate nuetralization of the threat. I want to stop the danger permanently"

That was started in 2009 but no doubt the forums will be awash with loads of similar things now.

I'm sure if guns were as prolific over here I'd be tooled up as well. In fact, if I had my way my farm track would be like the trench on the Death Star :)

but what about the zombie apocolypse....we've only got a week or so before that kicks off!

on a side note, this country's gun laws are a bit arse about face

case in point, you are not allowed to posess a 9mm Glock for home protection but with the correct licence you are allowed to own (and have in your house) one of these bad boys...

now back to the zombies....
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

I should imagine it's to do with small arms concealment more than size and firepower.

I m pretty sure you can't have pump actions if they take more than two cartridges. Off to check....it appears anything capable of taking more than 2 cartridges is a Sec 1 firearm. Much much harder to obtain lawfully. As mentioned above, guns are awful scary fucking things, and as someone who has had the distinct displeasure of having one pointed at them, I hate the bloody things. (dont like knives either but that's another story) The modern American culture is built on the "right to bear arms" so you ll never remove it, it's part of a large proportion of the population. It would be really interesting to get one of the American members perspective.
