Have been think the same, only advantage I can see is currently running 460 on 1.3 bar map so lower power enabling you to play and learn.

Pics on piston heads if you search mr2's between 5&6 grand it's easy to spot with the full spec :)

430 @1.3 according to the advert. although I concede that either figure is loads in a lightweight shell :)
Initial thoughts are that you'd need/want to dump the wheels and tyres as no-one in their right minds would want 19" alloys on a track based MR2. No mention of upgraded brakes so you can figure on a grands worth of something to add there (or a lot more) and the Tein's............second hand Tein's could be great or could be wrecked. They are one of the brands that first hand knowledge tells me you need to check carefully, so that could be another grand there too. I won't comment on the aesthetics because that's always personal to each of us, as previously mentioned.

Of the two you've mentioned, I much prefer the original one. Seems to be a better match to your started requirements and it's two grand cheaper.
