Fuel Pressure test query

Post by RX7 »

Guys,

If you have put in new fuel lines, injectors /rail, FPR etc, would you pressure test it first before bolting the rails up properly ?

At the moment I have no battery but can try and connect the old one up to do it. Have no coolant, oil etc so wont turn the car over but I know you can short some of the fuses to make the fuel pump run.

Probably gives me a chance to set the base pressure with the FPR too.

Do you guys do this before bolting everything in place properly ?

you should be able to remove the fuel pump relay and short out the 2 switch terminals to run the pump

its usually terminals 30 and 87 but you'd need to check this
