Whe i first bought the trailer i had an Audi A6 which towed the trailer weight wise no problem. The trailer weighs approx 1100kg empty so not heavy for its size.. The only problem with the Audi A6 was the trailers frontal area. Got an Audi Q7 after that and that was superb with the trailer.jap.slapper wrote:Out of interest mate, what were you generally using to tow this?
Used all sorts of 4x4s including Dodge Ram also and had no problems.
Like i said you ideally need a tall vehicle to minimise the frontal area of the trailer like a 4x4.
Thx

I was just being curious mate
I'm currently looking into what I can and can't tow on a Cat 'C' licence. One of our larger company wagons would be ideal to operate from if it's legal to tow with it on a Cat 'C'.
It's all up loaded weight is knocking on for 7 tonnes and is a shade over 25 feet in length.

My son's keen to get into karting now so I figured that we'd use this company wagon to transport the kart about, and if it's able to tow a trailor then I might as well use it to trailer my zed about also

Did you past your test before 1997?
If so then weight limit i believe is 8250kg.........7500kg vehicle with 750kg trailer
C1+E which is an extra part of licence (extra test) allows you up to 12000kg.......7500kg plus heavier trailer
Have a look here bud -
