One of things that always put in us in good stead 'back in the day' was that there was no bullshit, and therefore no ego's wandering around with their 14" internet cocks swinging around.
Some of these rules seem to have slipped, and the forum is no better place because of it.
Ok, back to the thread, and can we all please remove the personal digs
Next person to break the rules gets....

Around 5yrs ago I used to swap between Hawk road and Hawk track pads, since that's what was supplied with the brake kit i had at the time. Impreza with smallish disks. Worked well on track but I had to keep swapping cos the track pads were a flippin liability from cold on the road! They may have improved since then I guess.pjs65 wrote:Has anyone used Hawk brake pads for trackday use as i can fit there full range of pads on my newer calipers for the chevy . The guy i brought the pads from used yellowstuff but i wondered if Hawk were better . Pete

Thats not a bad idea actually as iam not sure how the new setup is going to work plus i have never used track pads before . Hawk do the largest range of pads for the calipers iam going to use so i will probably start off with their road pads and move up to their track pads once i've got the hang of bigger brakes and track tyres .
