Bmw m3
Stu you have echoed my exact thoughts and worries, I'm not spending silly money on a csl box etc...I was looking for extra bark but if the car isn't gonna run as well as it should then I don't really think it'd worth it. It's got a kn panel filter in it at the moment and runs ok, I'm guessing it will be worse with kn induction cone? If its going to be the same then it might be worth it, if its going to be worse then I won't do it

Nice car, enjoyed mine although i didn't keep it that long. Sold it to a friend though and he still has it and similar age to yours, a 53 plate.
Understand the noise requirement although if you intend doing any track work or absolutely caning the arse off it my recommendation would be to change the M Chocolate brakes.
I might be a pussy who brakes too much but I tried porterfield carbon kevlar pads and race spec fluid when i did a TD having melted the stockers on the road, and melted them too
sure you could get a used AP set up for the front cheap enough and have an absolutely sorted car.

Minor update
Car has been chewing up rear tyres so time to get it sorted out, took a trip to see the guys at autotest for them to align the car..as I guessed the geometry was miles out which was the cause of the cars hunger for tyres lol
Autotest have done a superb job and the car now drivers and handles so much better.
Next job to replace the rear tyres...eek! Not the cheapest job in the world! I had a few options but in the went for the tyres designed for the car which are continental sport contact m3's, they were a little bit more then some of the options but I really want the car to perform as good as it was designed to do, so the choice wasn't too difficult
I haven't had a chance to really test the tyres due to the weather etc but from what I have seen and felt, I've definitely made the right decision :-)
I've also had to do an oil service and in typical m3 style the car only likes castrol edge m-engine oil which is cheap lol also took the opportunity change the pollen filter, clean out the kn panel and inspected the plugs

Grills= yes
Rear spacers= yes 10mm
Wouldn't bother with the rest if it was mine but to each his own and all that
Oh yeah......I'd get the wheels done anthracite too
