Winter refresh

Post by Stuart »

So, as the dark afternoons arrive, the weather worsens and things generally take a turn whose got some interesting car plans this Winter?

Projects?
Overhauls?
Refresh work?

What about personal stuff like resolutions.........mine was to get down to 4 days a week and I think I can say that I've safely managed that :D

Car wise, I'll be sending the remnants of the MX5 to the scrappy soon as I can't be arsed breaking it down much further which is sacrilege really. Once that's out of the way, I'll get the Compact under cover and get it up in the air, wheels off, wings off, arch liners off, waxoyl the underside, new wings and then see where I go from there.

What about you lot?

20vt planned for the mk2
Started gathering parts and hopefully picking up an agu 20vt this week with all the parts like turbo loom etc etc..

Jaffa plenty planned but I won't go into that just yet
But it is staying N/a

And maybe picking up an Audi a3 1.8t sport this weekend for the wifes daily duties that will obviously have to be remapped and maybe some new wheels
Small one's are more juicy

Driving the 206, give it a good clean and waxing and a general service. Hopefully get some work done to the sierra as well. Not much really.

Taking my new steed on its first trackday next week, then the winter wheels and tyres will go on and I'll wait until Spring breaks next year.

I've put some new rubber on so basically it's time for me to stop talking about it and just start driving the bloody thing!!
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

Well the old race/track car has been broken and spare time and commitment are much less abundant nowadays so I have a trackable road car.

130i with KWv2s, Quaife diff and lots of parts from the BMW Performance catalogue

On the golf get the quaife diff fitted into a better gearbox, remove the loom and take out all the injection system loom and neaten that up.

Then going to get back into sprinting next year so need to get my self somthing with a turbo and four wheel drive. ( oh i wonder what )
