How do you remove more than 200kg out of a daily (Cue the smarts arses saying get out of the car!)
200kgs is easy with them Rob. Loads of threads on SCN that include lightly stripped cars making them much closer to 1100-1150kgs

While its a daily, I won't be stripping anything. The guy called tonight, he said he d be pleased to do it, and they can tailor the map to what I want, either outright power or a more moderate boost. Bearing in mind its vintage, I ll go for a moderate 210 map. No point going bonkers, as other mod money will be as and when. The exhaust mod referred too was a straight through pipe where the rotten mid box, so it won't do much for power, but will change the sound slightly. I ve read up on the alien tec maps, and no surprises that some love it, some don't. All I know is its local, they ve done them for years, and they seem a good company to speak to. Time will tell eh?

Off to get the first stage of the map done tonight.
A really helpful guy is accomodating my stupid shifts and reading the code and then sending it to the software technician for it to be "tweaked". I'll be back Saturday for it to be re-installed which should nt take long. Really looking forward to seeing some differences.

So am I :D Really interested to see your reaction to the change, the manners of the car and the seat of the pants experience. Not worried about notions of 205/210bhp or whatever, but I am interested in the extra grunt, pulling power in gears and the accelerative improvements :)
