Nice video :D

Am I right in thinking that you were being followed to start with Chris? My heart went into my mouth when you (car ending in EMO on the plate) started mounting the kerbs! I have seen a few cars jump up onto them in damp conditions and come off really badly, and as such I have avoided them wherever possible over there (I am so bloody slow that I can afford to run wide of them ;) )

A great advert for RX7s though, and great to see them being wrung out on the finest track in the World

Thanks dude. Yeah I am emo unfortunately! It was bone dry, I don't think I would ever drive it on the wet. I learnt the layout of the track on forza. It does help massively to know where the dodgey corners are.

Gareth said something similar to me when we arrived back into the car park after his first lap. I should mention that he partially drifted Adenaur Forst on this first lap. So, when we got back to the car park, he mentioned that hundreds of laps on GT whatever had helped ( I shuddered at this point) and he went on to say that he had enjoyed it. I asked whether he remembered about the costs involved if it all went wrong (smashed barriers, track closures etc) and he said he didn't know anything about that!! At that point, I nearly laughed............well, I did actually :D

He drove brilliantly but I am now, frankly, scared whenever people tell me that they have 'learned' a track by playing a console game (and this comes from one of the biggest Playstation and Xbox dealers/sellers back in the day).

Great write up about a fantastic if treacherous place.
Congratulations on "walking the walk" and coming back in one piece.

I was fully aware of the costs of barriers, recovery and no insurance etc and the fact that I could smash my car up or face up or possibly worse. It's like any other extreme sport. The thing that shocked me was when 2 bikers came up to us and asked if the track was dangerous. I told them to go home lol.

I have been selected as a driver for the charity race day at Snetterton on 18th November. Hopefully see some of you there!

Got some lovely new Apexi filters today to replace the HKS mushrooms. Think they look and perform much better. :D

Its getting there now. Just need to move the battery to the boot. Have already fitted a box in the boot, just need the battery!
