A bit more progress tonight now I have all the parts to continue....
Got the turbo back on...
This should have been simple (famous last words), the drain line made things fun as this needs to be aligned and partly screwed before you can start screwing anything down. But to screw the sodding drain line you had to have the turbo off its studs, then once its screwed on you cant lift the turbo high enough to get it on the studs. At this point I resorted to name calling.
After abit of thought after a tea and biscuit pit stop I just unscrewed the exhaust manifold which gave me enough wiggle room to get things in.
However I dropped one of the flipping nuts and I cant find it, looks like thats my morning sorted!
When I bought the car it came with the bose system in the boot but it wasent rigged up, I dug out an old amp and wired it up the other day as well so I will have a system that doesnt sound like someones mobile playing music!
Plan is to tomorrow try and find the missing nut and tighten everything, fit the downpipe and v band, fill the car up with some coolant and job done! All in time for Karting at 3pm with some mates!
Wish me luck...
