Good news about the gearbox, compared to other options of failure anyway! Was this gearbox old and knackered or is this likely to become a consumable?

this was a second hand gearbox mate
it had previously been in a 550bhp cosworth so its not had an easy life.
me and paul knew that the gearbox wasn't bullet proof and was a case of
when not if it will brake, we had planned to take it out this winter
anyway to check it over so its not something we are to bothered
about really.

And you got to work on it in your own drive and then tuck it up in your own garage.
mate it is so nice working on the car at home, can take my time doing it
and not pushing myself to get it done quick.

its what saturday was made for, then sunday watch motorsport if its on.
Just a little update as to whats going on in the Midlands.
Went over to Alan's on sunday where he and Wayne were fitting the spare gearbox. Wayne spent most of the time cursing and Alan spent most of the time laughing, think it had something to do with Alan dropping the gearbox on Waynes head on saturday:headhack:
Alans spending the week,or so he says, cleaning the car ready for the Classic Motorshow at the NEC.
I've picked up some wood ready for Alan to make one of his templates, shhhhh. bet he changes my design.
Then it's time to start the changes for the 2013 Time Attack season. The main changes will be.
1. Suspension
2. Fuel swirl pot set up (for several reasons)
3. Weight reduction
4. Change diffs
The Omex software has now been loaded onto Alans laptop (god help us). So we can now start to learn how to read the ecu.
A big sticking point at the moment is tyres, both make and size. The tyre choice for Time Attack probably wont be released until the early part of next year. Even so we are finding it difficult to find tyres in the size that Alan wants to run and me and Alan just don't seem to have the time to sit down and sort it out.
Well, thats about it for now.

I love this one

I know it's been a while since I've been on track but have they moved the racing line at Brands by about 6 yards?

Cracking photos though........
