Charity Ride to Cannes

Post by RobCallow »

I have been convinced to take part in a Charity ride to Cannes next year!!

So far there are 9 of us that will be riding from Lingwood school (Norfolk) to Cannes (France) we will be raising money for The Great Ormond Street Hospital. Ben the organiser has done several charity events for Great Ormond Street as when his son was born he had to spend some time there and so to support the good work they do there we are doing this ride.

Now the weapon of choice is this!!!!

Christ Rob, you'll need eyes in the back of your head! A great cause and effort on your behalf, leave the box in the back as they might give you a bit more room. (Or it could act as an early warning system as a prompt to dismount :) )

Plan is to travel down with a van as a support vehicle

We will be travelling on the minor roads to keep away from the high speed traffic and we are going to take in some very interesting roads including the highest paved road in Europe!!

As for the bike it has cleaned up pretty well it's not perfect but for an 1984 bike it cleaned up well and as a bonus it has only done 12000 miles and I have found out that gold (bronze) is a rare colour so makes it a little more sought after.
