Could be Stu, I didnt take any pics of Christians car in the paddock from the front. Only a shot from the rear quarter so cant tell if they are like it from still or only when hooning it down the straight. I will say that it was very very very hard to take pics of his car as it was just so quick, didnt seem to have problems with anything else :)

Dan, it is a Sigma 150-500 I bought secondhand from TP forum at about 2/3 of the price of a new one. Have only used it at a zoo and a mix of disappointing and the odd good one so Snetterton was a chance to really try it. As Ben says it is very close even at 150 and I did feel sometimes I was missing the shots but think they have come out pretty well. Ideally though I think a 70-200 f2.8 would be a better lens but even they are 1k secondhand and just under 2k new :O As this was less than half the secondhand one of those I am pleased with how it performed. Both Ben and I have found by upgrading our lenses (we have Tamron 17-50s, mine is a VC and his isnt but his is fractionally sharper) it has really improved our photography.

There were some really nice cars there, a mix of RX8s, MX5s, couple of Nobles, track cars, Porsches etc etc something pretty much for everyone throughout the day.

Anyway enough talk.....more pics ;)

There's something so right about the Classic Scoob.

My regrets are not having enough time to wander round the paddock and chat to people and also I was incredibly disappointed with the RX8s. They sounded great but there didnt seem to be the 'go' behind the power. Preferred the Civic Type Rs to the RXs and find that sad being a die hard Rotary enthusiast !!

A mate of mine has just bought a 2005 STI Scooby and I really liked that, being taken out in it and seeing one on track has impressed me.

Gareth, awesome pics mate. Can I download those from your flickr site?

Thanks for the comments on the wheels too, tho don't forget they aren't really meisters, they're Rota copies. I jsut wanted to put a bit of colour on them really. I've had the M1R logos made up to go after the meister decal too, so those will be going on soon.

Stuart - well observed chap. It does look like it's creasing doesn't it. I thought the mild dents around the catches were where people push the bonnet to unlatch the catches but it would seem not. Wonder if it's the nismo lip causing lift. Will have to give that some thought.

Gareth, where was that pic taken? Just to get some idea of the speed I was doing when that was happening..... Pics on circuit are really useful for spotting things like that, cheers.

Hi Christian, yes if you right click the image (on flickr) there should be an option to click 'original', click it and then right click again and save it. This however isnt quite the resolution of the real pic so if try the flickr one and then let me know which one you have downloaded and your email address and I will fire a jpg version of the original for you to see if it is any better. You can pm me your email if thats easier.

I was standing pretty much near the end of the Bentley straight near the bridge when I took those pics.

La la la la la pretending not to hear what you have done to the Rotas la la la la la :)

Nice one, will have a look but yeah, emailed jpgs might be the way to go.

Hahaha, well at least i'm not pretending they are meisters (although anyone who'd ready my build thread would know that) :smilielol5:

BTW, looking at the colour of your polo, have you ever considered a "calsonic" livery :D
