Much prefer the old videos that were produced by Brooksie (please tell me he's not involved with these ones :) )

Weather looked horrendous and would have been a real challenge for most of the drivers. Thanks for sharing the link Pablo. I always find the interviews interesting as you learn a bit more about the spec, owners and drivers. I am a little surprised that someone prepared to sling enough cash at a car to run 700hp (Eurospec) then decide to fit steel framed entry level seats that retail for about

He's in club class, has 3 turbo set ups and can run well over 700bhp. Did I mention he's in club class.

Damn that vid showed how bad the weather got !! Vid was ok but didn't like the keep going back to the same driver footage and the girl wasn't exactly eye candy ;)

Stu, wasn't Brooksie doing the BDC stuff and not Time Attack ?

Some very very deep pockets there !!!!!

Oh mate you ain't seen nothing, you want to check out the transporters, covered trailers, lorries etc in the paddock omfg. It really is a money game now and all about sponsors and tuners. But we still love it and continue to work hard to improve and we will.

Monster wrote:I have to say I'm still not convinced by all this DIY aero, everybody seems to bolt as many wings on as they possibly can. I was reading an interview with Andy McNish the other day and he was saying what a dark art it is and that he thinks even the F1 guys don't actually fully understand the effects of what they are doing every time...
The guy with the silver 700bhp evo and the double deck diffuser had his areo package designed by some university graduates that he knows.
I saw that interview with Andy McNish, very true. We run minimal areo, rear wing, splitter and front undertray and they ALL have an effect on the car as we have run both with and without them. If we could spend around

Don't knock until you've tried it mate. I fitted some frankly daft looking end plates to my splitter and was questioned by a few on here as to why I did. Then the said few went to the Berg cup and an awful lot of cars had the same fitted. Go figure!
Personally the home made aero worked wonders for downforce for me (could really feel the difference at speed) and cost peanuts to make. For the relatively cheap cost for a sheet of alu composite it's worth the punt + bolt on aero does look kinda cool  :D

Not strictly accurate that Jon :)
On your Marham prep thread, the only people that commented about your aero was
1) Myself- largely complimentary and happy to accept my knowledge is limited+ been to the Berg Cup twice
2) Aron- constructive criticism and mucho copy and paste+never been to the Berg Cup
3) Logan- constructive criticism and F1 engineer by trade so probably knows abit or two+never been to the Berg Cup

I know their was no malice in your post to Monster but it's easy to get context twisted over time, and especially on forums. You did a bloody good job on your aero with the Impreza and your tenacity with getting stuck in with the project leaves many people in the shade.

Anyway.........there was an original topic around here somewhere! :D :seeya:
