Glad you had a good day mate, never done BugJam.
I'll more than likely be going to "Players" in September, it's probably got some tool-meisters in it, but I'd be there for the cars so could suffer that.

Top update chap, nice work on the bay :).

I still think that 16valver is an awesome car. For interest has the blower ever played up since the time you collected it? ..

Without risking a "jinx" on it..... It has never played up since mate! I think the car was having a protest at being re-homed!:D

Ive had a little play with the golf today with many thanks to mike b for the parts.
As im sure ben will be able to confirm the old gal has always been a pig to start when its stone cold. So with the realy cold mornings just around the corner i thought it was time to do the cold start injector. After speaking to mike i thought "Sod it" Lets change the whole inlet manifold for his system. So i done a little detour on my way down to london yesturday and picked up the whole injection system from mikes place along with a few other bits.
So today i whipped off the old manifold.

And found half the garden lying on inner wing under the old air box.
The new system with the WUR mod and K&N filter fitted was a very straight forward re-fit even though the air-box was completly different from my old one.
So from this...

To this.....

I know i had said this was going to stay totally standard. But "bollocks" I reserve the right to bend the rules at my own descrecion!:D
Oh my word has it made a difference!:hurray: It pulls so strong now i can`t quite get my head around the fact that, that little work can transform the driveability and overall performance.
I took it for a quick blast and when i got home Em was waiting in the drive for her turn. She said she was only going upto the next village and would be back in 5mins......:toetap05:A very, very long time later....Em pulls into the drive grinning from ear to ear! I truely belive she see`s the scoob as my toy and the golf as hers!:)
The car now pulls so strong and even torque steers that it has flagged up some new areas that realy need addressing ie:- I must now get round to fitting the poly bushed subframe - that was also one of mikes cast offs along with the switches etc that ben had already collected and fitted before i got her. Maybe this thread should be called mr blackmores 16v left-overs?:D
So ive still got the subframe to do and fit the new dash parts. Then fit the poly bush kit that ben supplied with the car.
