I reckon it's the events myself. I joined after a BP day at Snett and although I met Stu again through other ways, car related, it was that meet that got me to join. I stay becasue it's a good bunch of guys but I really think the track days etc would help.

Similarly sprints or similar, I'm desperate for things to use the GTR for so to be able to do something with people I "know" would be great.

I'm even contemplating attending some gtroc events (non track or track) and putting a build thread of my car on that forum. It's something I've avoided because I usually find the forum monkeys quite (very) annoying, but with the guys (whifbitz, steve linton, daz) that I used to play with on track no longer playing, it's no fun on my own.

With the limited number of users on here now I appreciate that a BP trackday may be too much of an ask, but why not try and do something with Dave from Opentrack, or the guy (whoi's name I forget) from MSV who joined here recently offering a 10% discount?

And from a selfish point of view, if there's stuff to do other than snett that would work for me. With the best will in the world, a social in norfolk frankly isn't practical for someone in the big smoke - saying that, i accept it's an East Anglia club so I can live with that.

My 2ps worth

I'm usually out of the UK now with work and spending most of my time off in thailand but i come back on here now and then to have a look.

Great bunch of guys on here and it is this club that got me into track days in my CSL.

I'm back in UK for August and would be up for any social or track meet during August.

I'm at Snett 21st on track and hope to pop along on the 1st Sept depending on when my flight back to Koh Samui is.

I have to say that I think Christian (amongst others) has nailed it. We started out of a desire for high quality, select entry events where track space was quality focused and you were assured of driving with mates, so less aggro and less bullshit from muppets cutting you up.

We weren't looking to make any profit so the events were cheap and we grew quickly through word of mouth. Times change, numbers dwindled and a few noses were put out joint, priorities also changed.

There is no easy fix I think guys.

Would a broader range of social events help? Would a cheaper form of auto-testing or sprint help? Let me know and I'll see what we can do. Failure to give me/us any feedback will have inevitable consequences.

ive had an idea stu.

would it be possable to have a bigpower trackday on the 100 circuit when the 200 is in use?
if there was a fair few of us then we could split into 2 groups half hour each or all out together depending on numbers.

if your still in touch with safety james maybe he could recomend a soutable day.

just a idea mate.
