I have always loved the Calsonic livery. That blue would not be my first choice of colour for a car but the R32 just carries it off beautifully.
Glad to have been of help with the tyres Christian. Hope we can do a deal. You want some nice red stickers on the car lol.

Eddy, cheers fella, will give you a shout when I need some treads. Agreed on the calsonic cars blue, hoping the effect of the livery will be similar on my ford blue...
Daniel/Rob, I really don't want to hear any more about LMs thankyou
Pete, cheers, I doubt they'll be on by snett but soon if I can get my arse in gear

After a mad rush due to the calsonic livery taking longer to apply than planned I was late, left the fuel cap at the shell garage, and generally had a bit of a shocker.
However, seeing my dad driving the car round, and the subsequent excellent pics from Daniel, Ben and Gareth my initial uncertainties about the stickers subsided and i'm really pleased with how it looks. One of the instructors on Daves day drove at Le Mans for Nissan in 88(?) and came over to say it brought back memories and how good it looked so I was well pleased with that. High praise indeed.
However, after being almost beside myself over how well it drove at bedford with the new diff, Snett was a totally different story and the GTR spent all evening doing it's utmost to kill me. It was completely unpredictable at the rear, in both low speed and high speed corners and I didn't have the confidence to really lean on it or push on - unlike bedford where every high speed bend was a 4 wheel drift.
John came out in the car and can vouch for how smappy and unpredicatable it was.
The only change from bedford was that I was on the slicks rather than the 888s. I tried softening the rear suspension a bit, and reduced rear pressures which definately helped, and warrants a lot of further playing around with.
However, on top of the snappiness I was unimpressed with the michelin slicks. They didn't seem to offer any noticable increase in grip over the 888s, in fact I would say the 888s were better, yet also caused these problems.
I know slicks are less progressive and also very sensitive to pressure and temps so will have more of a play, but if the car ran as well as it did at bedford on the 888s I'm wondering if these are my best option. I had so much confidence in the car which was gone on the michelins - i didn't even run max boost at snett!!!
The diff itself spat out a load more oil once I was pushing on so now need it on the ramp to see if it's coming out of the shaft/s rather than the breather as I suspected at Bedford. If so will have to do the seals. I am also thinking of buying another diff - a stock diff, but one which is very tight. This may be a good compromise as the one i've jsut bought is unbelievably tight and was certainly the root of much of the "looseness" at snett, which combined with the tyres to make the car a real handful to drive.
Postives were that despite the weather the car behaved itself in terms of temperatures of fluids, and the brakes stood up to it all without complaint so that's very good news.
Having seen Gareths pics and the "bendy bonnet" i will also have to put some thought into that. I wonder whether to lift the rear edge of the bonnet a little to allow the air to flow out more easily....
