Great write up Pablo/Bart, recall a saying I heard or read some time ago car owner to tuner "How fast will this car go then ? Tuner to car owner How deep are your pockets?"
You guys do an amazing job on limited funding but as TK suggests perhaps gains can be made elsewhere certainly testing and seat time can help.
Dont give up there are to few BP members out on track at the moment
Best of luck for the rest of the season

TA - Brands Hatch
I think this shows just how competitve we really are. By rights we should have been jumping for joy, the car worked, we got into the final and scored our first points. Alan was able to stay out on track until told to get off chequered flag or red flag, yet the only thing we're focused on is why didn't we achieve our target time:banghead:
We so need to chill out and enjoy the small victories:)
Anyway, Brands is past time to get ready for Anglesey:auto:

non of them are our engine bay.
i have been thinking about this for a while i believe that we need to change the look of the car now as it has been mentioned that ours and the other sierra clash as they are both black and from the front and back look simular and i feel this is a detrament to us as the other sierra gets far more exposure because of this in my opinion.
The other car probably gets more coverage because;
1) It's a 3 door Cosworth not a XR4X4
2) Ronnie Amis is well connected
3) He is finishing further up the points
I'm really not trying to be rude by pointing out the above and you are right, two black Sierra's doesn't help. Maybe a good time to go NATO green?

you make all the right points mate, just wished time attack would do
donnington park, brands is his home track so he'll be quick if come to my turf the roles would be revirsed.
as for the paint change, well we are on the case with that one:nod:
We have talked about that footage and the day a lot and I have been over the sector and lap times to work out why we were so far off the pace.
1. Alan hasn't driven the car in anger since last august and then it only had 352 bhp
2. The last bend leading onto the start finish straight was a real problem, 2nd gear and he would run out of revs before the straight and 3rd gear we was off boost until the pit lane entry.
3 He is still changing gear by ear, as he always has done but this means in the main he is upshifting early no more than 5500rpm as the shift light is set at 5600rpm and the rev limiter at 6200rpm. In comparrison Ronnie is revving his engine to 7800rpm after recently changing his valve springs
We are keeping the revs standard at the moment as we have not yet fitted the uprated valve springs and don't want to risk bending a valve or worse.
No changes are planned for the car just as much seat time for Alan as possible. Not even going to bother checking his times at the next round. His instructions for the next round are to go out and do 20 mins of hot laps and have fun, that's it.
On an upbeat note in that session he improved his lap times (hot laps) on average by 0.5sec per lap, so I won't sack his sorry ass just yet
