the noise limit @ Bedford is only 101 static and 87 driveby, so that's a fair bit lower than Snetterton. It is a wonderful venue for testing though, and you'd have a job to hit something so you can push the car to its limits (and beyond yours I suspect)

Thanks for the comments guys, have to say it does all finally seem worth it and I'm enjoying it while I can as I'm under no illusion it will last very long...
Pete, as stu says Bedford has quite strict noise limits. But I would suggest if you can get the camaro on then it would be a great track for it. As usual the noise stuff is very hit and miss, last time I went I had no probs. This time the first static test read the car at 100, the second one, forced on me after a couple of laps, it read 95.5!!? AND I was being honest with the revs.
Gareth, I didn't actually take any pics on Monday. I did get a couple of sessions on the gopro but the one i've watched isn't very exciting so unless the other ones better I won't bother posting.
Think I might try and get on the Open Track donny day, will depend a bit on my house move unfortunately..

So I've been speaking to lots of people about tyres and think I'm formulating a plan. Eddy's given me a good price for the federals and I think I'll probably go down that route to replace the 888s. They are still road legal, although how much use they'll be as my "wets" is up for debate, and will also no doubt be proven soon if this fecking rain doesn't turn it in 
But i've also spoken to Michelin, Dunlop and Avon ref the slicks and had some really interesting conversations.
First of which, which is also obvious when you think about it, is that everyone said it's no surprise that the GTR is killing the michelins I bought as they are from the front of a 911 cup car - no weight at the front, not driving wheels etc - GTR - weight all round, all wheels driving = exposed canvas. Makes sense.
The avon guy went further still when discussing my options. He basically said that whatever slicks I run the car will kill them. Reason being the sizes I need are GT car tyres. But the gtr sits between GT3 and GT4 in terms of spec. i.e it's the weight and power of a GT3 spec car, but can only run the smaller tyres of the GT4 spec car - so will be heavy on them. Bollox.
Anyway, I'm going to try a set of 270-650 Avons (against the 250-640 michelins currently) as the bigger the better in terms of ability to cope with the use. And see where we go from there. Now trying to source some new ones as cheaply as poss, although Avon did offer me a very good price on a new set direct from them.
As an aside, and rather inspired by how awesome Trevs Jaffa looks with it's jagermeister livery, I'm thinking about slapping some calsonic and Impul stickers on the car. This may make it look shite and like a wannabe JTCC car which isn't my intention, but I am keen to try some stickers out on the car and reckon a few of these slapped on might look quite cool.... Still, can always peel them off

This is always a dilemma
I love stickers and a properly liveried car does look awesome. A bit 'monkey' for day to day stuff but otherwise I reckon you can't go too far wrong as long as the design you are 'borrowing' was OK in the first instance.

It is!!! Thing is, i don't really want full livery as I have bodywork to do over the winter. I'm still keen on some union jack action at some point (bear with me please, I'm "sure" it will look better than it sounds) but need the arches etc sorted first.
So I thought that as my car looks similar in appearance to the calsonic R32s (i.e standard with big wheels) the different shade of blue wouldn't really matter and it would give a kind of old skool look
